Beyond the bling: What’s driving Dubai’s unstoppable tourism surge?

UAE

Dubai's tourism industry is experiencing a white-hot surge, propelled by a strategic plan that promises a future of 'astronomical' growth.

According to Emirates News Agency - WAM, the industry broke records in 2023, welcoming an unprecedented number of visitors from both traditional and emerging markets, with hotels exceeding pre-pandemic performance across all key areas.

Accommodation and food services, a key sector in tourism, saw a big 11.1% growth, highlighting Dubai's status as a top tourist destination.

The emirate is also expanding its hospitality and leisure offerings with new mega-projects, including island destinations and waterfront communities. A few of the upcoming projects include Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai Creek Tower and Burj Binghatti etc.
