The perks and privileges offered to government employees, especially civil service officers, in Pakistan have long been both coveted and criticized. But as the country struggles to finance the government's ballooning expenses, civil servants' perks have come under the spotlight once again.
Pakistan's civil service officers are entitled to up to 140 different kind of allowances such as dress allowance, hair cutting allowance and transport allowance etc. Senior officers are also entitled to land.
