Dubai just got its first listening bar
Located at the swanky Bluewaters Island, VNYL Hi-Fii is a creative hub meets speakeasy retro disco
Ever heard of a listening bar? Now you can experience it firsthand.
The team behind the hugely popular Surf Club is now ready to launch its latest offering, a hi-fi bar called VNYL Dubai. Located at the swanky Bluewaters Island, the venue also features a state-of-the-art recording studio and aims to become a dynamic creative hub for music lovers, by the creators, for the listeners.
The Instagram bio claims it’s a spot for good music + good company, and we can see them living up to their promise. Featuring two DJs, one for downstairs where the vibe is a bit more mellow and one for upstairs, which is something out of a 70s party playbook. Disco balls, moody lighting and funky 70s wallpaper set the scene.
We tried cheese and onion gyozas, salted egg french fries and seabass carpaccio. Now, fries for a restaurant are make or break and we inhaled theirs within minutes. The owner, who was around at the time, suggested we try the burger and fried chicken next, which are his personal favourites from the menu. It's on our list!
VNYL is dropping the beat in Dubai with a launch party this weekend. You in?
