The government and regulatory bodies seem to be slow in taking action
Substandard LPG cylinders are putting lives at stake in Pakistan, with an industry expert saying that on average, two incidents involving them occur and around four lives are lost every day.
These cylinders, often brightly colored to attract customers, are essentially "bombs" that could explode in homes, shops, or restaurants, causing loss of life and property.
Despite the widespread availability of these substandard cylinders, the government and regulatory bodies seem to be slow in taking action. Thus, the onus falls on consumers to be vigilant and purchase cylinders only from OGRA-authorized dealers.
