Renowned dermatologist Dr. Fazeela Abbasi, sister to Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, recently spent a day in Dubai, offering rare insight into her world of skin, beauty, and holistic wellness. In a candid episode of Glam in the Gulf, she shared her philosophy on aesthetics, the importance of health from the inside out, and her journey in the industry.
Our day began at her hotel, where Dr. Fazeela opened up about the evolving trends in aesthetic medicine. She highlighted a growing shift toward natural beauty in filler treatments and warned against the hype surrounding weight-loss drugs, calling them far from the “quick fix” many believe them to be.
At her clinic, she discussed her daily skincare routine, stressing the importance of nourishing the body through healthy eating and mindful living. “Glowing skin starts from within,” she noted, underscoring the link between lifestyle and complexion.
The conversation also touched on her close bond with her brother Hamza and how emotional wellness plays an equally vital role in overall health.
We ended the day over dinner at Duck & Waffle Dubai, where the discussion turned to men’s skincare and the need for them to prioritise self-care.
Dr. Fazeela, who holds a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master’s in Clinical Dermatology from King’s College London, is a pioneer in regenerative medicine, anti-ageing treatments, and stem cell therapy. She is now preparing to launch her skincare brand, which promises to combine science-backed formulations with her years of expertise.
From professional insights to personal reflections, Dr. Fazeela Abbasi’s time in Dubai was as enriching as it was eye-opening, offering a rare, unfiltered look at the beauty industry and the truths few dare to share.
