Even Karachi’s factories no longer want to remain in the city. In just three years, Karachi has lost over 600 industrial electricity connections, with KE’s industrial consumers dropping from 23,706 in 2022 to 23,078 in 2025.
While Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar are seeing industries expand and invest, Karachi is moving in the opposite direction.
