  • NEOM collaborates with Asas Al-Mohileb to establish a high-capacity concrete facility, producing over 20,000 cubic meters of environmentally friendly concrete daily.
  • The factory incorporates carbon capture and energy-saving technologies, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s focus on sustainable development.
NEOM, the sustainability-focusedregion under development in northwest Saudi Arabia, has announced a major partnership with Asas Al-Mohileb to build and operate a SAR 700 million ready-mix concrete facility.

This advanced, multi-plant factory will primarily supply concrete for the construction of THE LINE, a revolutionary linear city within NEOM’s expansive development.

Asas Al-Mohileb, a Saudi Arabian construction and engineering firm, is spearheading the construction of the batching plants within NEOM.

With extensive expertise in the industry, Asas Al-Mohileb will also oversee the facility's operations, which are expected to produce over 20,000 cubic meters of eco-friendly ready-mix concrete daily.

NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr highlighted the importance of the partnership: “The delivery of these concrete plants is another testament to the rapid progress happening at NEOM. It also underscores the strength of the Kingdom’s construction industry, and the critical role local partnerships play in delivering this transformational project efficiently and sustainably. We are proud to partner with local contractors and appreciate their contribution to NEOM’s advancement across our portfolio of projects, fulfilling NEOM's goal of becoming a hub for local industry leaders and entrepreneurs in support of Saudi Vision 2030.”

Sulaiman Al-Mohileb, CEO of Asas Al-Mohileb, echoed the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainable growth: “This partnership emphasizes our firm commitment to advancing economic growth in the Kingdom by employing the latest technologies and innovative construction solutions. We are dedicated to adopting sustainable practices that align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which focus on empowering the manufacturing sector and enhancing its role in driving the Kingdom’s broader development objectives.”

The concrete production facility will incorporate cutting-edge carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology, along with energy-efficient solutions.

The bulk of the output will be dedicated to the construction of THE LINE, where concrete is crucial for both the substructure and superstructure elements.

In preparation for the facility’s operational launch next month, a fleet of support vehicles has been mobilized, with peak production anticipated to begin in 2025. The project is set to create over 500 jobs for local workers.

As construction on THE LINE progresses rapidly, the first foundational piles are already being placed, with nearly 1,000 out of more than 30,000 piles already completed.

The establishment of this concrete facility marks a critical milestone in NEOM’s development, further aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 agenda.
