The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the Israeli strikes on Iran, urging the United Nations Security Council to take urgent and necessary action to secure a ceasefire.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed deep concern over the escalating situation and highlighted the importance of exercising restraint and sound judgment to avoid a broader regional conflict.

The UAE reiterated its call for resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, rather than through confrontation and further escalation.

The Ministry also reaffirmed the UAE’s consistent position that adherence to international law and respect for national sovereignty are fundamental to resolving crises peacefully.

The developments follow Israel’s widescale airstrikes on Friday, which targeted nuclear sites, missile facilities, and senior military figures. In response, Iran launched around 100 drones toward Israeli territory.
