Abu Dhabi’s hospitality sector recorded strong performance in April 2025, reflecting the emirate’s rising status as a global tourism hub, according to preliminary data released by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi.

Around 531,000 guests stayed in hotels across the emirate during the month, contributing to over 1.52 million guest nights. Hotel occupancy averaged 87%, with 172 establishments operating 34,383 rooms. Revenue per available room reached AED614, indicating solid returns driven by high occupancy and service quality.

According to a WAM report, hotels earned revenue across key segments, including accommodation, food and beverage, and other services—pointing to a well-rounded guest experience.

Non-Arab Asian visitors made up the largest group with 149,000 guests, followed closely by Europeans at 148,000 and UAE nationals at 97,000. The consistent influx of international tourists underscores Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a diverse and welcoming destination.

Luxury hotels attracted the majority of guests, with five-star properties hosting 265,000 visitors—nearly 36% of them from Europe. Four-star hotels accommodated 143,000 guests, while three-star and below properties welcomed 63,000. Hotel apartments also saw strong demand, hosting 61,000 guests.

The robust April performance reflects Abu Dhabi’s continued investment in tourism infrastructure, a varied hospitality offering, and growing global visibility.
