According to ADB officials, the aviation sector has limited decarbonization options, making this project a crucial step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The project will also support the development of a sustainable aviation fuel industry in Pakistan, creating new economic opportunities and job.The SAF facility will be constructed in Sheikhupura, Pakistan, and is expected to commence operations in the near future. The project is a testament to the growing commitment towards sustainable development in the region. With the increasing demand for cleaner energy sources, this project is poised to play a vital role in Pakistan's transition to a low-carbon economy.
