Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new bus pooling initiative aimed at offering residents and visitors a fast, flexible, and convenient transportation solution.

Riders can book the service via the Citylink Shuttle, DrivenBus, and Fluxx Daily apps. Each operator deploys 20 minibuses, accommodating between 13 and 30 passengers.

The service offers weekly, monthly, or single-trip plans, departing from traditional fixed routes. Instead, it uses dynamic pricing based on distance and demand, creating a more tailored experience for commuters.

Initially, the service connects Deira to major hubs like Business Bay, Dubai Mall, Mirdif, and Dubai Festival City, with plans to expand across the emirate.

“This initiative aims to provide licensed transport options for passengers, encouraging them to use authorized means of transport instead of unlicensed alternatives,” said Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency. “This project keeps pace with global public transportation trends by increasingly relying on advanced technologies to deliver cost-effective, on-demand services. Moreover, it contributes to reducing traffic congestion by offering an efficient, safe, fast, and comfortable transport solution.”
