The Pakistani business partner of Saudi oil giant Aramco said on Thursday that the company has yet to commission any site in Pakistan to open a retail outlet.
The statement came in response to pictures of an Armaco fuel station circulating on social media, labelled as the first retail outlet by the Saudi giant in Pakistan.
"No Aramco site has been commissioned anywhere in Pakistan so far", Zeeshan Tayyeb, Chief Operating Officer of Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd (GO), said in a statement to Nukta.
Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals company, acquired a a 40% stake in GO earlier this year.
