Pakistani seafarer Yasir Khan, a survivor of the MT Honour 25 hijacking, recounts what happened after the ship was taken over by Somali pirates. He recalls the harsh conditions of captivity, months spent without seeing the outside world, and the constant fear of being trapped at sea. During the operation to free the crew, Yasir says three Pakistani seafarers were killed, while he was among those injured. Even after making it home alive, Yasir says the trauma of his ordeal continues to haunt him.
