China-Russia exercises involved 400+ vessels and 90,000 troops
NATO's ex-chief warns world is "more dangerous, unpredictable"
The specter of World War Three looms larger as global conflicts intensify, prominent Nuktafounder and CEO Kamran Khan warns in his latest episode of "On My Radar", pointing to two major ongoing conflicts: the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel's confrontation with Hamas and Hezbollah.
After Iran's missile attacks on Israel, the hashtag World War 3 trended globally on X for three days, reflecting widespread public concern.
The world increasingly divided into two distinct blocs. On one side stands what Western media terms the "Legion of Doom" or "axis of autocracy" — China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Opposing them is the United States.
While the United States is currently the world's only superpower, it appears that a blockade is being formed around America in world politics, and its adversaries are growing closer with each passing day, supporting each other in defense and military matters despite international sanctions on them.
According to Voice of America, North Korea has supplied Russia with 11,000 containers of military supplies for the Ukraine war over two and a half years. Meanwhile, China and Iran's 25-year strategic agreement signed in 2021 has strengthened their defense and economic cooperation. The Hudson Institute reports that Beijing provides 90 percent of the chips for missile, tank, and aircraft technology to Moscow, Tehran, and Pyongyang, despite American sanctions.
The increasing military cooperation between these nations is evident in joint exercises, with Russia and China conducting massive drills named "Vostok" and "Oceans," involving more than 400 naval vessels, 120 military aircraft, and over 90,000 troops.
Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told the BBC that "the world is now more dangerous, much more unpredictable, and much more violent than before."
