The UAE has strengthened its ongoing humanitarian aid efforts for Lebanon by dispatching three more planes loaded with vital relief supplies, according to WAM.

These latest deliveries include medical and food supplies, ambulances, and shelter equipment, bringing the total to 12 aircraft carrying 515 tonnes of aid.

The effort is part of the UAE’s national relief campaign, "The UAE stands with Lebanon," which began on 8th October. The two-week campaign is conducted in coordination with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

The relief campaign was launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the support of Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is also supervised by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.

The latest aid shipment includes 120 tonnes of relief supplies not only for Lebanon but also for Lebanese refugees in Syria.

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi emphasized the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian assistance, stating, “The UAE has always been a global icon in humanitarian work and in helping societies in the midst of disasters and conflicts restore security and stability.”

Al Shamsi added that the UAE’s swift response highlights the nation's dedication to alleviating suffering and contributing to global stability during times of crisis.
