30 days, 33 km, 10 athletes

Starting November 1, a group of ten athletes will embark on a 30-day trek, covering approximately 33 km each day and journeying through iconic locations like the Liwa Desert and Jebel Hafeet.

They will traverse deserts, mountain paths and even sites like Baynounah Houbara Sanctuary and Al Sadeem Observatory, immersing themselves in Abu Dhabi’s heritage and commitment to a sustainable future.

Public walking challenge

The public is invited to participate by completing a 30-day walking challenge of their own, tracking 6,000 steps daily with the Pura app. The event highlights how just 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week can make a huge difference in health and well-being.

With weekly events and inclusive sessions, Walk 1000 is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Special ladies’ ladies-only sessions are also included in the activation.Shutterstock

Active Abu Dhabi
