Why we should be excited for Baby Baji season 2

Season 1 was dramatic, ridiculous, and extra in every way, and we expect season 2 to be bigger and better

Why we should be excited for Baby Baji season 2

Baby Baji was the perfect soap, with laughter, tragedy, and lots of backstabbing.

IMDb

ARY Digital's drama series Baby Baji is set to return soon, with hints and teasers dropping all over the place.

First, we had Saud teasing the return.

Next, the cast was revealed in a teaser.

While we're excited for the new faces in season 2, it's really the older cast members we're eager to see back in action.

Javeria Saud as Azra is formidable

Think you've seen the classic evil bahu? Think again—Javeria Saud as Azra takes the crown as the most fun evil daughter-in-law ever. While she does siphon off food and extra cash from time to time, nothing Azra does is so terrible that you end up hating her. In the Baby Baji universe, characters are either too nice, too bland (like Wasif and Farhat), or too cute (looking at you, Waleed, and Saman).

Azra's wicked humor, especially in her chemistry with husband Jamal (Saud Qasimi) and Baby Baji (Samina Ahmed), is what keeps the show dynamic and engaging.

The story is simple, relatable, and always entertaining

To paraphrase Alfred Hitchcock, Baby Baji is just like your typical desi household—only with all the boring bits cut out. You know how it's fun to 'discuss' the occasional drama in the family? Baby Baji is that drama, unfiltered.

Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, and we're dying to know what happens next

The first season of Baby Baji ended on as much of a cliffhanger as you can expect in a family soap. But *SPOILERS* with Baby Baji and her husband both gone, the family is left adrift—no anchors to keep this lovable but chaotic group together. What happens to them now?
