The year 2024 may not have been a great one for Bollywood, but the release of Stree 2 has made it memorable in the industry. However, the final two months will determine whether the Hindi film industry ends the year on a high note or a low one

The upcoming festive season kicks off with a bang as two major sequels, Singham Again and Bhulaiyaa 3 are set to clash at the box office on November 1, coinciding with Diwali. Both films are expected to draw significant attention, with Singham Again boasting a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh.

As the year winds down, the Christmas season promises to be equally thrilling. Akshay Kumar leads an ensemble cast in Welcome to the Jungle, slated for release on December 25, 2024. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s Alpha is set to hit theaters on the same day, alongside Varun Dhawan's Baby John, adding to the holiday movie options.

Several other notable releases are scattered throughout the year. Arshad Warsi's comeback vehicle Bandaa Singh Chaudhary and Kajol - Kriti Sanon starrer Do Patti are both scheduled for October 25.

Director Sanjay Gupta's The Miranda Brothers featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Meezaan Jafri as the titular brothers will also join these two films on the same date. Fans of romantic dramas can look forward to Dhadak 2, featuring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, expected to be released on November 22.

One of the most talked-about projects is Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which has received its final approval from censors and is expected to be released soon, though an exact date has not been confirmed. The film, which has garnered immense buzz, features Kangana as the former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.

Industry experts predict that sequels and star-driven films are likely to garner the most attention. The Singhamfranchise has a proven track record, while Alia Bhatt’s recent successes make Alphaa highly awaited release. Additionally, the star power of Akshay Kumar and the ensemble cast of Welcome to the Jungle is expected to draw large audiences.
