ICC

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially unveiled the schedule for the 2026 Women's T20 Asia Cup, with the tournament set to begin in Dubai on August 28.

Which teams will play the opening match?

The opening fixture will see Hong Kong China take on Thailand, kicking off a two-week competition featuring eight of Asia's top women's teams.

Every match will be played under lights at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with a 6:30pm local time start. The tournament will conclude with the final on September 13.

When will India face Pakistan?

One of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament is the India-Pakistan showdown, scheduled for September 5 in Group A. The rivalry is expected to be the standout attraction of the group stage, with both teams aiming to secure a place in the knockout rounds.

How is the tournament structured?

The eight teams have been divided into two groups. Group A features India, Pakistan, Hong Kong China and Thailand, while Group B consists of defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and hosts UAE.

Each team will play the other sides in its group once. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for September 10 and 11, before the champions are crowned two days later.
