Banijay Rights revives MasterChef Pakistan after over a decade
Karachi’s Pixel Entertainment will produce a new season of MasterChef Pakistan and reveal a broadcast partner in the coming months

Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Banijay Entertainment, announced on Thursday a landmark deal to bring the globally popular cooking competition, MasterChef, back to Pakistan after an 11-year break.
Under this agreement, Karachi-based Pixel Entertainment will produce a new season of MasterChef Pakistan. The company will also secure a broadcast partner, which will be revealed in the coming months.
Rashmi Bajpai, EVP Asia at Banijay Rights, expressed excitement about the show's return: “It’s been over ten years since a Pakistani version of MasterChef captivated the nation’s viewers. We are thrilled to bring this globally recognized format back and use it to celebrate Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage.”

As the world’s most successful cookery television format, MasterChef has been commissioned in 70 countries, airing over 700 seasons and more than 16,000 episodes. The show, created by Franc Roddam and first launched in 1990, remains a global phenomenon.
Pixel Entertainment, based in Karachi, specializes in adapting international formats for Pakistan’s market.
