Dubai authorities double efforts to combat unstable weather across UAE
Scattered rain and thunderstorms will continue across Dubai until Thursday due to a low-pressure system.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has confirmed the persistence of unstable weather conditions across various regions until Thursday.
These conditions are due to the extension of a surface low-pressure system from the Red Sea, accompanied with other factors that lead to scattered thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall in scattered areas, occasionally accompanied by lightning, thunder, and hail.

Another Rainy day hit the UAE on Thursday while authorities worked to implement plans to avoid disruptions that occurred during the last storm that hit the country in the mid of April.
For ensuring public safety and mitigating potential damage, Dubai Police and all concerned authorities did their best to address the aftermath of the storms, with clean-up operations underway on major roads and in communities across Dubai.
Measures include the deployment of tankers to drain flood water from streets, aiding in the restoration of normalcy after the adverse weather conditions.
Moreover, UAE authorities urged residents to stay safe. They advised people to avoid beaches, valleys, and areas at risk of flooding. In addition, schools and universities across the country transitioned to remote learning on Thursday and Friday. The government also encouraged private sector companies to allow flexible work arrangements during this time.

Unstable Weather
UAE and the wider Gulf region are experiencing unstable weather characterized by heavy clouds and varying intensity of rainfall in scattered areas, accompanied by a noticeable decrease in temperatures. Winds have been active to strong, carrying dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) explained that these conditions are caused due to the extension of a surface low pressure system from the Red Sea, accompanied by moist southeasterly winds, along with an extension of a low pressure system from the northwest and an upper-level air current.
