Dubai is set to welcome the New Year 2026 with an expansive program of more than 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations, authorities said, highlighting the emirate’s reputation for large-scale, family-friendly celebrations, WAM reported.

The Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), in coordination with relevant government departments, will oversee the events to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and smooth execution.

Venues include world-famous landmarks and leisure destinations such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame, Expo City Dubai, Global Village, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Bluewaters, Al Seef, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Hatta, Dubai Creek Harbour, and a host of luxury resorts and golf clubs.

Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, SIRA’s Chief Executive Officer, said the agency is taking a proactive role in licensing, supervising, and regulating the displays, starting from permit issuance to on-site monitoring of each event.

“Our priority is public safety at all stages, from site readiness to the execution of fireworks shows,” he said, emphasizing the importance of coordination between security teams and event partners.

Authorities urged residents and visitors to follow safety guidelines, avoid restricted areas, and respect designated distances from fireworks launch sites to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience. The expanded program aims to provide a festive atmosphere for families and tourists while reinforcing Dubai’s image as a global hub for spectacular, safe, and well-managed celebrations.
