Dubai Press Club revives Arab Youth Media Award
Submissions are now open for the ninth edition of the renowned initiative.

The Dubai Press Club (DPC) has announced the launch of the ninth edition of the Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award, a prestigious initiative under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai.
First introduced in 2001, the award has been reimagined to reflect advancements in the media industry, aiming to inspire young media students across the Arab world to showcase their creativity and skills.

Mona Al Marri, president of DPC, emphasized the award’s legacy as a platform for discovering exceptional young talents in the region.
Revamped Format with Six Categories
This year’s award introduces a new structure with six dynamic categories: podcasting, e-games, multimedia, photography, short video, and news reports.
Students can participate individually or in groups, submitting their projects through universities or with verification letters.

Recognition, Cash Prizes, and Opportunities
Winners will be celebrated at a grand ceremony during the Arab Youth Media Forum, with each category winner receiving a $5,000 cash prize.
A jury of media experts will evaluate entries to ensure fairness and uphold the award’s quality standards.
The initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to fostering innovation, empowering young talent, and building a vibrant Arab media ecosystem ready to tackle future challenges.
