Dubai’s luxury transport sector saw a 44% increase in trips in 2024, reaching 43.4 million compared to 30.2 million in 2023, the highest growth in recent years, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The surge underscores Dubai’s strategic vision to enhance mobility and meet the rising demand from residents and visitors.

“This vital sector has witnessed sustained growth,” said Adel Shakri, director of planning and business development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency.

“The number of passengers transported through Dubai’s luxury transport services reached 75.6 million in 2024, up from 52.6 million in 2023, reflecting a similar 44% growth rate.”

Shakri attributed the increase to Dubai’s economic momentum, which has strengthened its global position as a hub for investment and tourism.

E-hail services played a significant role in the sector’s expansion, recording a 32% rise in trips to 32.5 million in 2024, up from 24.6 million the previous year. The number of operating companies grew from nine to 13, while the fleet size expanded from 12,602 to 16,396 vehicles.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), these figures reflect the continued success of Dubai’s efforts to advance its transport sector through innovative and high-end mobility solutions.
