Five people were shot Tuesday in a school attack in Orebro, Sweden, police said, triggering a massive emergency response.
Authorities have not confirmed the severity of the injuries. Police are treating the incident as attempted murder, arson, and an aggravated weapons offense, according to a statement.

The attack occurred in a campus area that houses multiple schools for both children and adults. Following the shooting, students were held indoors at the affected school and nearby institutions as police secured the area.
Ambulances, rescue services, and heavily armed police officers were deployed to the scene, a local emergency spokesperson said.
Swedish Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer called the attack “very serious” and said the government was in close contact with police as they investigated the situation.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear. Authorities have not confirmed if any suspect has been arrested.
