He went on to retain the title in 1971, cementing his reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the squash world.
Gogi's greatest moment, however, came in 1976, when he triumphed in the PIA Open. This was a major international tournament that attracted some of the biggest names in squash, and Gogi's victory was a testament to his skill and determination.
Along the way, he had also notched up some notable scalps, including a win over the legendary Geoff Hunt in the semi-finals of the 1973 British Open.
