Pakistani fintech startups Haball and PostEx have been named to the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch 2025 list, joining an exclusive group of emerging businesses across the Asia-Pacific recognized for innovation and impact.
The annual list, now in its fifth edition, features 100 privately held, for-profit companies headquartered in the Asia-Pacific that are making waves across sectors ranging from healthcare and AI to finance and logistics. This year’s selection spans 16 countries and territories, with startups collectively raising nearly $3 billion in funding—a significant rise from $2 billion in 2024.
Pakistan’s representation comes from Karachi-based fintech firms Haball and PostEx, both backed by venture capital firm Zayn VC. Their inclusion highlights the country’s growing footprint in the region’s dynamic startup ecosystem.
Haball, founded in 2017, provides Shariah-compliant B2B fintech solutions such as digital invoicing, tax compliance, and working capital financing. The company has processed over $3 billion in payments to date and recently secured $52 million in funding, including $5 million in equity and $47 million in strategic financing from Meezan Bank.
PostEx, launched in 2020, offers hybrid logistics and fintech services tailored to the e-commerce industry, including upfront cash payments on delivery to support merchant cash flows. In 2022, PostEx acquired Call Courier, expanding its logistics footprint. It also raised $7.3 million in a pre-Series A funding round to support its planned expansion into the Middle East.
India led this year’s Forbes Asia list with 18 startups, followed by Singapore and Japan with 14 each, and China with nine. Other countries represented include Indonesia, South Korea, Australia, and Bangladesh.
To qualify, companies must have been founded before August 2024, be headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region, and generate less than $50 million in annual revenue or hold under $100 million in total funding.
The recognition of Haball and PostEx marks a positive development for Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, which continues to navigate funding challenges while showcasing notable growth in fintech and digital services.
