India produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Pakistan by seven wickets in the ninth match of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Pakistan were bowled out for just 55 in 18.1 overs, their lowest-ever total in women’s T20Is, before India reached the target in only 8.4 overs.
India’s bowlers reduced Pakistan to their lowest-ever women’s T20I total, with Prema Rawat and Shree Charani taking three wickets each. Pakistan’s collapse left India needing only 56 runs for victory.
The chase was briefly unsettled when Fatima Sana removed Shafali Verma and Pratika Rawal in the second over.
Kaur and Deepti Sharma then took control, putting together an unbeaten 28-run stand to complete the chase in the ninth over.
Pakistan’s batting collapse
Pakistan appeared to have made a reasonable beginning after captain Fatima Sana chose to bat first. Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar added 27 runs for the opening wicket before India found the breakthrough.
Shafali Verma dismissed Muneeba for 13 off 15 balls in the fifth over. Charani then changed the momentum completely, removing Gull Feroza for a duck before dismissing Zulfiqar for 14 in the same over.
Pakistan could not recover from those blows and lost their final seven wickets for only 26 runs.
Charani and Rawat lead India’s bowling attack
Charani’s double strike opened the door for India’s bowlers, who continued to dismantle Pakistan’s batting order.
Rawat and Charani finished with three wickets apiece, while Deepti Sharma claimed two wickets. Verma added one wicket as Pakistan were dismissed for 55 in 18.1 overs.
Zulfiqar was Pakistan’s leading scorer with 14 from 14 balls, including three fours, while Muneeba made 13 from 15 deliveries.
While chasing, Harmanpreet finished unbeaten on 18 from 18 balls, hitting one four and one six, while Deepti Sharma made 12 not out from 14 deliveries.
India completed the seven-wicket victory with 68 balls remaining.
Pakistan will now face Hong Kong in their final group match on September 7.
