Ayesha Omar is stepping into new territory with Lazawaal Ishq, Pakistan’s first Urdu reality dating show, shot in Istanbul.

The promo shows contestants arriving at a luxury villa, dressed in glamorous outfits, all in the quest for love.

But while Omar calls it a “first-of-its-kind experience for Urdu audiences,” social media isn’t convinced.

Many are comparing it to Love Island and questioning how such a format aligns with Pakistani values and culture.

So is Lazawaal Ishq a bold new chapter for local entertainment or just an imported spectacle too hard for society to digest?
