Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) has extended the suspension of its flights to Tehran and Beirut until early 2025, citing concerns over the potential for a broader conflict in the Middle East, the German airline group announced on Wednesday.
For Lufthansa Airlines, this means flights to Tehran will be suspended up to and including January 31, 2025, while flights to Beirut will be paused until February 28, 2025.
Lufthansa Group subsidiaries, including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, are also impacted by the decision.
In a separate statement, SWISS confirmed that its flights to Beirut are cancelled until January 18, 2025, to ensure greater planning certainty for passengers and crew.
