Anoosha Nasir is an all-round cricketer who made waves with her remarkable performance for Pakistan in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup last year in South Africa.
Talking exclusively with Nukta, the 19-year-old shared her experience of playing in the tournament where she bagged ten wickets in five games to become Pakistan’s highest wicket-taker in the world cup.
The feat helped Anoosha to get named in ICC Women’s U19 T20 WC Team of the Tournament. She later represented Pakistan’s national team in 2022 Asian Games and Pakistan A team in 2023 ACC Women’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
The Karachi-born athlete said that unlike many girls who practice along with her at the National Stadium, she was lucky and grateful to have great family support, especially her father, who has always been there for her.
Anoosha was awarded a central contract by Pakistan Cricket Board last year for the 2023-2025 season. She aims to be a game changer for the national team and dreams to win many games for her country.
