Mohenjo-Daro, one of the world’s oldest cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is facing grave risks from climate change.

Rising temperatures, heat waves, and recurring floods are steadily eroding its fragile unbaked brick structures.

While some conservation work was carried out after the devastating 2022 floods, experts warn that far greater and sustained efforts are urgently needed to protect this priceless heritage before it disappears forever.
