Pakistan to open ‘Pakistan Mart’ in Dubai to boost exports

A high-level delegation from Pakistan’s National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and UAE-based DP World visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to present their joint initiative, “Pakistan Mart,” aimed at expanding the global footprint of Pakistani products.
Brigadier Mohammad Yousaf, Director Plans at NLC, led the delegation, which included Abdullah Yaqoob Al Sayed Ahmad Al Hashmi, Head of Traders Markets at DP World, Fakhre Alam, Vice Chairman of DP World, and Junaid Tariq, Director Business at NLC.

Brigadier Yousaf outlined the project’s scope and vision and said that the Dubai-based facility will offer state-of-the-art logistics, warehousing, and retail infrastructure, enabling Pakistani manufacturers and exporters direct access to high-demand markets in the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
Al Hashmi described Pakistan Mart as a “gateway to global trade,” featuring integrated warehousing, logistics, and exhibition spaces that meet international standards.
Fakhre Alam said the project would serve as a prestigious platform to showcase Pakistani products to international customers, strengthening the country’s image and exports.
ICCI Senior Vice President Siddiqui called the project a “milestone” in Pakistan’s logistics and export landscape. He said the partnership between NLC’s regional capabilities and DP World’s global network would offer vast opportunities for businesses. He pledged ICCI’s full support in promoting the initiative among its members.
Vice President Chaudhry expressed confidence that the project would enhance exports while promoting Pakistan’s cultural diplomacy.
Executive Member Butt said the venture would open new avenues for economic growth, national pride, and trade development.
Advisor Naeem Siddiqui emphasized the importance of maintaining a permanent Pakistani business presence in Dubai to establish direct connections with international buyers and markets.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to work closely for the success of the initiative.
