Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met a delegation from the UAE-based Sajwani Group on Friday and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and investment ties with the United Arab Emirates.
The prime minister said Pakistan and the UAE share deep-rooted, longstanding, and brotherly relations founded on mutual trust and respect.
PM noted that the recent visit of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan had further reinforced the bilateral partnership and created a conducive environment for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Expressing satisfaction over recent high-level engagements, PM Shehbaz said these interactions had enhanced confidence among private-sector stakeholders and investors in both countries, laying a strong foundation for expanded economic collaboration.
PM Shehbaz emphasized that the government of Pakistan places particular importance on business-to-business cooperation in areas such as information technology, digital innovation, blockchain, and other emerging technologies, and welcomed the growing interest of Emirati investors in Pakistan’s digital economy.
The prime minister said the UAE’s strengths in investment, innovation, and global connectivity, combined with Pakistan’s human resource potential, offered a mutually beneficial partnership for sustainable economic growth.
The Sajwani Group delegation reiterated its commitment to exploring further investment opportunities and strengthening its economic partnership with Pakistan.
Shehbaz expressed confidence that, with strong political support from both countries and enhanced private-sector collaboration, Pakistan-UAE economic cooperation would reach new heights.
The UAE delegation thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and hospitality extended during their visit.
