The UAE NCM issued a weather advisory warning of rainy conditions from Wednesday through Friday.

Residents are advised to prepare for reduced visibility, cooler temperatures, and challenging conditions near shores.

Rain is expected to start in Abu Dhabi late Wednesday night and extending to Dubai Thursday morning.

The UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory, warning of rain, strong winds, and rough sea conditions from late Wednesday through Friday across the UAE.

UAE residents are advised to prepare for reduced visibility, cooler temperatures, and challenging conditions near shores.

Rain is expected to begin late Wednesday night in parts of UAE capital Abu Dhabi, as cloud cover increases over western areas.

By Thursday morning, rainfall is likely to extend to other coastal areas, including Dubai, Sharjah, and other northern emirates, eventually reaching as far as Ras Al Khaimah.

The NCM attributes these conditions to a combination of surface low-pressure from the east and upper-air low-pressure from the west, accompanied by a cold air mass and a jet stream, which will all cause cloud development and scattered showers, particularly in northern and eastern regions.

Cloud cover will fade away gradually by Friday afternoon, while temperatures are expected to drop.

Moderate to strong winds are forecasted, shifting between southeasterly, northeasterly, and northwesterly directions. The winds may kick up dust and sand, reducing visibility on land. Over the sea, winds will be particularly intense, making for rough conditions.

Moreover, waters in the Arabian Gulf is expected to experience rough to very rough conditions on Thursday and Friday, while the Oman Sea will be moderate to rough. The NCM has urged caution for those near coastal areas and advised against venturing out to sea during this period.

Following the alert, NCM has advised UAE residents to remain vigilant, especially when driving in areas affected by rain or reduced visibility. It also recommended residents to stay updated through official channels for the latest weather information.

UAE weather this week marks a significant shift as the country experiences cooler and more dynamic conditions.
