Six collectible sports cars, including four Ferraris, will be offered at an auction in Abu Dhabi on December 9, with estimates ranging from $80,000 to $850,000, according to Khaleej Times.

RM Sotheby’s, a leading auction house specializing in collector cars, has announced the first vehicles for its upcoming sale in the UAE capital. The headline lot is a 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, valued at up to $850,000 (Dh3.11 million).

The six-car lineup also includes a Lamborghini Murciélago and a limited-edition Lancia Delta rally model. Two vehicles will be sold without reserve, meaning they can be purchased by the highest bidder regardless of whether they reach a minimum price.

Which cars will be sold at the Abu Dhabi auction?

The sale features four Ferraris spanning different models and specifications, alongside a Lamborghini Murciélago and a Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione “Martini 5”.

Duccio Filippo Lopresto, RM Sotheby’s managing director for the Middle East and North Africa, said the region remained an appealing market for collector cars. He said the company’s relationship with Sotheby’s helped it connect with collectors and that the auction would attract both experienced buyers and newcomers.

What makes the Lancia Delta Martini 5 special?

The 1991 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione “Martini 5” is one of only 400 examples produced. The special edition commemorates Lancia’s fifth consecutive manufacturers’ title in the World Rally Championship and features the distinctive Martini racing stripes.

The car underwent extensive recommissioning in May 2022. It carries an estimate of $120,000 to $150,000 and will be sold without reserve.

Which car has the highest estimated value?

The 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M tops the auction’s estimates at $700,000 to $850,000. The car has travelled just 5,200 kilometers, according to the listing.

The model is part of a collection that also includes a Lamborghini powered by a V12 engine and equipped with a six-speed gated manual gearbox, as well as the limited-production Lancia rally car.

Which other Ferraris are included in the sale?

A 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, originally delivered in Switzerland, has recorded about 32,000 kilometres. It comes with its original books and tools and has a documented service history. Its estimate is $450,000 to $550,000.

The 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano features an Extra Campionario Ivory Cream exterior, a brown interior and extensive carbon-fibre detailing. Originally configured for the Middle Eastern market, the car is registered in the UAE and has covered 39,900 kilometres. A specialist inspection described it as being in very good condition.

It is valued at $140,000 to $200,000.

The fourth Ferrari is a 2006 612 Scaglietti F1 HGTC, finished in a custom Gris Violet paint color with Cuoio leather upholstery. Its specification includes the HGTC package, Daytona seats, an Alcantara dashboard and bespoke interior details.

With about 58,000 kilometers on the odometer, the car comes with a full service history and its original order documentation. It is estimated at $80,000 to $120,000 and will be sold without reserve.

What are the specifications of the Lamborghini Murciélago?

The 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago is powered by a 6.2-litre V12 engine producing 572 horsepower. It combines four-wheel drive with a six-speed gated manual transmission, a feature sought after by some collectors.

The left-hand-drive car was delivered new to Japan in February 2004. It comes with its books and manuals, including the warranty card, and has an estimated value of $400,000 to $450,000.
