Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday, leading a high-level Saudi business delegation aimed at strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Prince Mansour and his delegation will meet Pakistan’s political leadership, senior government officials, business groups, and chambers of commerce to explore opportunities for deepening bilateral trade and investment partnerships.
The trip highlights the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and reflects their shared goal of expanding economic collaboration under the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council framework, Pakistan's Foreign Office said in a statement.
Discussions are expected to focus on trade facilitation, investment, and cooperation in key sectors aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s economic reform agenda.
The business delegation’s arrival follows a flurry of high-level Saudi engagements in Pakistan this week.
A day earlier, a parliamentary delegation led by Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, arrived in Islamabad at the invitation of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
That parliamentary mission marked another step in strengthening Saudi-Pakistan ties, coming soon after both nations signed a new defense cooperation agreement last month.
The back-to-back visits also reflect ongoing coordination on regional diplomacy, as Riyadh and Islamabad play active roles in efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza. Saudi officials recently met U.S. President Donald Trump to push for broader regional de-escalation.
