Abhi Private Limited and TPL Corp Limited have received approval from the State Bank of Pakistan to jointly acquire FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited.

This strategic alliance aims to enhance financial inclusion across Pakistan by combining FINCA’s extensive microfinance network with Abhi’s digital solutions and TPL Corp’s presence in retail, insurance, and technology sectors.

FINCA Pakistan has empowered millions of families through lending, savings, and financial education, earning recognition for customer excellence and innovations like the first mobile network-agnostic digital wallet.

The new entity will offer innovative financial products to underserved communities, including rural populations, small businesses, and lower-income individuals.

Omair Ansari, CEO & Co-founder of Abhi, emphasized the goal of creating accessible financial solutions for all. TPL Corp's diverse business portfolio and FINCA’s market knowledge position the combined entity to make a significant impact.

FINCA customers will benefit from Abhi's digital platform, enhancing access to comprehensive financial services.

Jeff Smith, Chair of FINCA Pakistan's Board, highlighted the potential to accelerate financial inclusion, particularly for small entrepreneurs.

Looking ahead, Abhi, TPL, and FINCA will focus on new financial products tailored to underserved communities, driving financial inclusion and supporting economic growth. Further updates on new offerings and services will be shared in the coming months.
