Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, UAE’s Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), welcomed U.S. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden at Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting focused on discussions on strengthening ties between the two nations and advancing women's empowerment.

They also discussed enhancing collaboration between women's organizations in both countries, with an emphasis on supporting women’s roles in national development and strengthening family stability.

Sheikha Fatima expressed hope that Dr. Biden’s visit would promote further cooperation and exchange of experiences in women’s initiatives between the UAE and the U.S. She also highlighted the critical role of Emirati women in the UAE's progress across various sectors, noting that their achievements have been central to the nation’s development.

Dr. Biden praised Sheikha Fatima’s ongoing support for Emirati women and her efforts in advancing motherhood, childhood, and youth development. She also lauded the UAE’s cultural boom and the significant strides made in empowering women, which she said are integral to the country’s societal progress.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE women leaders, female ministers, and Martina A. Strong, the U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, alongside Dr. Biden’s delegation.
