Imperial College London says it is not planning to open an overseas campus

Imperial College London has politely reminded everyone that its campus is still very much in the UK — and not in Lahore, Pakistan's bustling cultural capital.
In a statement published on its website, the college said that reports about Imperial College London planning to open an overseas campus are incorrect.
“There have been inaccurate reports in the media and online suggesting that Imperial College is opening a campus in Nawaz Sharif IT City, Lahore, Pakistan,” the statement said.
Earlier, Marriyum Aurangzeb, a senior minister in the government, claimed in a now deleted tweet that a campus of Imperial College London would be established in Nawaz Sharif IT City, and that a 300-bed hospital would also be built there.

Her post was also shared by the official X account of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party and the Punjab government’s official account.

Founded in 1907, Imperial College London is one of the world’s top universities, celebrated for its cutting-edge research in science, engineering, medicine, and business — and for calling London home.
So, for now, students hoping to attend Imperial might want to keep their eyes on South Kensington, not South Asia.
