Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa called UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday to discuss ways to strengthen ties and expand cooperation across multiple sectors, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
During the conversation, the leaders exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing efforts to address shared challenges affecting peace and stability in the Middle East.
The UAE president reaffirmed his country’s support for initiatives that serve the interests of the Syrian people, advance development and safeguard Syria’s security and stability.
President Al-Sharaa expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continued engagement and support, noting its role in promoting peace, security, and stability in the region and acknowledging the longstanding diplomatic relationship between the two nations.
