The UAE Aeropress Championship is back, and bigger than ever

The UAE Aeropress Championship is back this August, celebrating its 8th edition, which will be its largest yet, with over 400 participants.The stakes are high as national champions will represent the UAE at the World Aeropress Championship finals in Lisbon, Portugal in September 2024.

The championship will kick off with two regional events on August 1 and 2, culminating in the national championship on August 3 at the DMCC Conference Centre in Dubai. This year’s theme, ‘Pressing Boundaries’ emphasizes that pressure creates diamonds, great coffee, and champions.

Since its humble beginnings in 2008 with just three competitors in Oslo, the World Aeropress Championship has exploded into the largest coffee competition in the world. It’s a cultural phenomenon with over 120 regional and national events across more than 60 countries. Each season now sees more than 4,500 competitors participating.

The competition provides a platform for baristas and coffee enthusiasts to refine their skills, showcase their talents in a relaxed setting, and promote the spirit and quality of specialty coffee.
