Tri-nation ODI series shifted from Multan to Karachi, Lahore
The PCB also shared updates on preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday that the tri-nation ODI series, initially planned for Multan, will now take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
The series, featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa, has been relocated to these venues, which are nearing completion of major renovations ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The PCB also shared updates on preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, confirming that Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium are in the final stages of extensive upgrades. Both venues are being optimized to meet international standards and will host critical matches during the 2025 tournament.
Enhancements at Gaddafi Stadium
Renovations at Gaddafi Stadium include increasing its seating capacity to 35,000 with newly installed chairs, while 480 advanced LED lights have been added to enhance broadcast quality. Two large digital replay screens, measuring 80x30 feet and 22x35 feet, will be installed soon.
The revamped stadium will also feature a new hospitality enclosure for players and officials, operational by January 25. The inauguration of the upgraded venue is set for late January.
Upgrades at National Bank Stadium
Significant improvements at National Bank Stadium include a new hospitality enclosure at the University End, 350 LED lights to boost broadcast quality, two digital replay screens, and the installation of 5,000 new chairs for better spectator comfort.
Developments at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is receiving minor improvements, including the installation of 10,000 new chairs, updates to hospitality boxes, and the addition of two digital replay screens. These changes are intended to meet international standards and ensure readiness for the upcoming mega event.
