The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned Israel’s recent actions in the Golan Heights, where Israeli forces seized control of the strategically sensitive buffer zone. This controversial move has sparked renewed concerns over the delicate balance of peace in the region.

In a statement, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reaffirmed its unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The UAE stressed that Israel’s occupation of the buffer zone directly violates international law, particularly the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement between Israel and Syria, which was intended to ease tensions and prevent further military confrontations.

The UAE’s statement was clear in its rejection of actions that fuel regional instability, intensify existing tensions, and undermine ongoing peace efforts. By challenging these violations, the UAE highlighted its commitment to a peaceful, stable Middle East, where the sovereignty of all nations is respected.
