UAE Customs foiled an attempt to smuggle 16.2 kilograms of crystal meth into the country through a land border crossing, WAM reported.
The General Directorate of Ports Security at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) made the seizure. The drugs were hidden inside a vehicle tyre.

How many drug seizures has UAE Customs recorded this year?
Since the start of the year, the General Directorate of Ports Security has recorded 765 narcotics seizures. They involved about 390 kilograms of narcotics and 50,000 narcotic pills.
