Ten Asian sailors were rescued from a burning commercial vessel at sea by the UAE’s National Guard, Khaleej Times reported.
The rescue operation took place on April 24, with all crew members safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.
According to the report, the operation was carried out by specialized teams from the National Search and Rescue Center, in coordination with the National Guard’s Coast Guard Group.
Authorities responded immediately after receiving the report of the fire and took action in accordance with safety standards.
The report said the rescue falls within the National Guard’s missions to enhance maritime security and respond to emergencies in order to preserve lives and support public safety.
