The UAE has warmly welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, expressing hope that this development will contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) commended the efforts of the United States in facilitating the agreement, recognizing its pivotal role in achieving this breakthrough.

The UAE emphasized that the ceasefire represents a crucial step toward de-escalation, urging both Lebanon and Israel to continue their dialogue in order to ensure that the truce evolves into a more enduring peace.

The Ministry also reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast position of unwavering support for Lebanon, highlighting its commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its efforts to restore Lebanon's position at the Arab, regional, and international levels.

Furthermore, the ministry expressed hope that the ceasefire would lead to the full implementation of UN Resolution 1701, which seeks to restore peace and security for civilians.

The UAE urged the international community to continue efforts to de-escalate tensions and foster diplomatic dialogue, paving the way for long-term security and prosperity that reflects the aspirations of the region’s people for stability and peace.
