As part of the UAE's ongoing support for Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has initiated targeted programs to sustain education for Lebanese students amid ongoing conflict, according to WAM.

UAE's educational response to support Lebanon
UN reports show that recent events in Lebanon have left nearly 1.2 million children out of school and displaced over 400,000 people. The Lebanon Education Continuity Project (2024–2025) is part of the UAE’s broader humanitarian response to support the Lebanese community, including emergency aid, food, and healthcare.
Focusing on digital platforms, the project aims to benefit 40,000 students, offering essential tools and training for teachers. This underscores the UAE's commitment to education as a path to recovery and sustainable development.
Efforts by Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives (MBRGI)
Earlier this month, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed the provision of emergency food aid to Lebanon through MBRGI in collaboration with the UN World Food Programme, reaching 250,000 people.
Education, knowledge-sharing, and empowerment are core priorities of MBRGI, given the vital role education plays in societal advancement through investing in human capital.
Aligned with its vision to improve quality of life through education, MBRGI has launched numerous programs to support education in developing countries, combat illiteracy, train teachers, build educational facilities, and offer vocational training to aid students in underprivileged communities.
MBRGI also focuses on empowering Arab youth through programs that promote reading and knowledge-building, helping the new generation establish a strong foundation for future challenges.
