Year of Sustainability unveils series of events to promote green practices across UAE
Focusing on green transportation, water and energy reduction, responsible consumption, and sustainable planting, Year of Sustainability encourages collective action across the UAE.
The Year of Sustainability, under its tagline "Plan To Action," has announced a lineup of public events and activities focusing on four key areas: green transportation, water and energy reduction, responsible consumption, and sustainable planting.
These events are running from October through the end of the year, and aim to engage both individuals and organizations across the UAE in adopting sustainable practices and creating a positive environmental impact.
The initiative's primary goal is to foster collective action, ensuring that both entities and individuals play active roles in promoting sustainability.
Rauda Al Falasi, Deputy Project Lead at the Year of Sustainability, said, "At the heart of any successful sustainability initiative is collective action. Our efforts at the Year of Sustainability are focused on driving lasting, impactful change by encouraging actionable steps. Both individuals and entities play crucial roles in shaping a more sustainable future for our nation, and we want to target challenges to sustainability both, through small daily actions, and larger organisational commitments to achieve a ripple effect.”
