The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), in collaboration with 7X, has launched ADEED, a national supply chain support platform aimed at strengthening business continuity across Abu Dhabi and the wider United Arab Emirates, the state news agency WAM reported Wednesday.
The initiative, described as the UAE Supply Chain Support Platform, is designed to support trade and supply chain sectors as the regional economic landscape evolves.
ADIO said ADEED combines its market insight and business support capabilities to improve visibility over the movement of materials and industrial inputs linked to exports. The platform seeks to safeguard trade flows and maintain supply chain continuity.
7X will respond to supply chain needs identified through ADEED by coordinating operational solutions across its logistics ecosystem and partner network. The company provides support across air, road and sea transport, both domestically and internationally, as well as fulfillment-related services.
Strategic partners in the initiative include the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Abu Dhabi Customs and the Abu Dhabi Quality & Conformity Council.
According to WAM, the coordinated ecosystem is intended to address potential supply chain disruptions. The Department of Economic Development oversees Abu Dhabi’s economic framework, while Abu Dhabi Customs manages logistics cycles across ports and addresses import and export challenges.
The Quality & Conformity Council will oversee standards and conformity assessments to support alternative sourcing and ensure access to qualified suppliers. Officials said the combined approach is supported by 7X’s logistics infrastructure and aligned with Abu Dhabi’s broader economic growth objectives.
At the core of ADEED is an artificial intelligence system that provides insights into supply chain and trade operations. The platform structures business requests, identifies gaps and connects users with relevant trade and logistics expertise to support decision-making and operational continuity.
Supply chain challenges are raised through the Chamber of Commerce’s Trade Working Group. Each request is monitored and coordinated among partners to facilitate appropriate support and maintain trade flows.
The initiative brings together ADIO’s Trade & Industry team, which supports companies in identifying domestic and international suppliers, and 7X’s logistics teams, which manage the transport and movement of goods.
Mohamed Ali Al Kamali, chief of industry and trade at ADIO, said the platform reflects efforts by UAE leadership to ensure economic and supply chain resilience.
“By spearheading the ADEED platform, ADIO teams are providing businesses with guidance based on real-time market insights to help maintain supply chain continuity to advance Abu Dhabi’s economic growth ambitions,” Al Kamali said.
Tariq Al Wahedi, group chief executive officer of 7X, said ADEED represents public-private collaboration aimed at strengthening long-term supply chain resilience.
“Through our sector-wide network of strategic partners, 7X is committed to enabling responsive, coordinated solutions that keep supply chains moving,” Al Wahedi said.
ADIO said it will continue working with industry partners to support long-term economic growth. In addition to trade facilitation, the office assists investors and businesses in establishing and expanding operations in Abu Dhabi and connecting to international markets.
